I was in second grade when I realized I wanted to be a writer. I had written my very first short story and it had been featured on the class bulletin board. Back then, the topics of my stories typically focused on what every second grader thinks about: ice cream, winter snow, and imaginary creatures. Although those stories never made it past the class bulletin board, I did gain a spirit of intrigue and an enthusiastic love to tell a story that has followed me to this day. In all aspects of my life, I gravitate toward three things: creativity, a fast-paced environment, and a good challenge. Luckily, the topics of my stories have advanced from those of my binder book stories in grade school. In 2021, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with double-majors in Journalism and Communications. Today, I work on the Communications and Brand team for one of the world's leading nonprofits, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, where I get to spend every day facing new challenges that threaten our world's most vulnerable population.
