I mentored 150+ students in their first year required courses in the Communication and Media Studies program by facilitating weekly content review, establishing relationships with the students, and maintaining constant communication through email and during lectures. I organized, designed, and executed weekly active learning workshops and accessible worksheets to review core concepts from the introductory courses (COMS 1001 and COMS 1002). I provided students with the necessary resources, study materials, and a safe work environment to optimize their success in the course, with goals to increase their final grade and decrease the D grade, fail, or withdrawal rate in the course.

I assisted the marketing and public relations teams in planning and executing large-scale Global News and Corus Entertainment events, promotions, contests, and giveaways while collaborating with social media and graphics teams, news personalities, and community sponsors/representatives. I drafted, edited, and finalized monthly internal communications reports summarizing mentions of Corus brands in media, and weekly internal communications highlighting employee accomplishments and announcements. I coordinated initiatives and events by drafting scripts, arranging social media coverage, contacting partners, confirming on-air logistics, and approving advertisements.I reached and retained 10,000 followers on the @globalnewto Instagram page by planning, creating, and posting engaging content on a consistent basis.
