Communications And Marketing Manager
Sydney, Australia
Successfully rebranded the AVA and its four large interest groups (equine, cattle, small animals and business). This involved end-to-end management starting with user research and an agency brief through to stakeholder workshops, brand identity and implementation. Maximised the AVA’s return on investment by effectively controlling the project budget. The new brand has now been applied across all parts of the AVA and will culminate in a completely new look and feel for the AVA website in the coming months. Used the rebrand as a vehicle to completely shift how the Association managed its design outputs, particularly for event marketing, to deliver on the professionalism it holds as a core value. The new brand has received positive feedback from members, staff and industry partners. Developed the website content marketing strategy, which involved splitting our websites in two – a member-focused website and a separate content-driven, SEO and SEM compliant information hub – www.vetvoice.com.au. This strategy is now defining how the AVA manages its digital transformation. Centralised email communication to bring into line with best practice and implemented eDM software so that the AVA’s national, state and targeted emails were consistent, met the Association’s overall strategic direction and managed its risk by ensuring the communications adhered to the Spam Act.Grew email open rates from 40% to over 60% in 3 years, exceeding a stretch target of 55%. The Association benchmark is 32%.Writing, editing, proofreading and signing off on a wide variety of print and online content for distribution to members, industry and key stakeholders.
