I have worked at The Children's Trust for 6 years, initially I joined the charity working as Children's Support Assistant (CSA) caring for the children and young people that lived there. Whilst in this role I studied for my NVQ Level 2 in Clinical Skills. It was during my time in this role, the opportunity arose for me to start my career in procurement. I joined the Procurement team in May 2019 and since then have studied to gain my CIPS Level 4 in Procurement and Supply. During my time working the procurement team, I have developed my skills in contract management, and contract negotiations, facilitating tenders and supporting the charity with their procurement needs, ranging from medical equipment, to software solutions. Within my role, I am also the Clinical Asset Manager, overseeing the compliance and regulatory requirements for over 700 Clinical Assets. I am the Financial systems super user, supporting the charity in the development and role out of their new ERP system, and provide the training and support to the team members, as well as producing the user guides for the system. My working history, having worked in Customer Services, and as Accounts Receivable Specialist at Thermofisher Scientific, completing my AAT level 2 qualification and 2 papers of ACCA have provided me with a foundation of knowledge and skills, that help me to problem solve, and draw in previous experience to develop and improve processes and efficiencies within my working environments.
