I offer the public a first class telephone service, providing front line advice and information across a range of services provided by the Council. I work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, so it is important that I am always well organised, remain calm, focused and professional. On a day to day basis, I have to handle a range of situations with tact, diplomacy and empathy which is made easy by my excellent communication and listening skills. I have an ability to converse with all types of people in a polite and courteous attitude. I have grown to be confident with technology and can use all of the software systems with good keyboard skills.Some of my responsibilities include: Taking Council Tax payments and dealing with Council Tax quieres, Logging all the local deaths in the borough on the system, Dealing and resolving recycling, waste and rubbish bin problems, Dealing with Planning and Building Control quieres, Dealing with Licensing quieres, dealing with Parking Fines and parking queries, taking invoice payments for Council services, Dealing with Housing and Homelessness issues, Assisting with Trees and Conservation Area queries, Dealing with Transport from Home and Day Centres bookings etc. Show less
