Evolution - The main part of my job is month end. This consists of posting all the month end journals for accruals and prepayments, bank recs, Capita - I have my own portfolio of accounts. For these I: - monitor the cash flow investing/disinvesting money when needed. - post journals and complete the monthly bank reconciliation. - prepare quarterly or monthly income and expenditure reports. - pay invoices, member payments and recharges - prepare year end accounts, planning and consulting with auditors, the client, consultants and admin teams. - attend client meetings. - mentor new members of staff.I am currently studying towards my ACCA qualification have passed F4 - F7 with F8 to sit in September. Before that I passed my AAT Level 4. Sheffield Hallam University - My main role is on the Purchase Ledger Team. My duties within the team are: processing expenses, dealing with invoice queries, ensuring purchase card spend is kept up to date so it is uploaded into the budgets on time, receipting and processing purchase orders, setting up new suppliers, dealing with stakeholder queries. I also have experience within the Sales Ledger Team, chasing debt owed to the University, setting up pay arrangement plans, referring long outstanding debt on to our debt collection agencies, processing invoices and credit notes, sending out letter and notifications. In addition to that I have worked in our Cashiers Team. I have done job shadowing within Management Accounts and Financial Accounts. I have done project work in Procurement, Management Accounts (Forecasting), Financial Accounts (Non-compliance) and Service Improvement (Expenses online system). I helped out within the Faculty Team which involves processing and query work around overtime claims, expenses to external individuals, Special Visting Lecturer claims and Associate Lecturer payments along with some travel.
