•Supervise a team of seven employees comprised of both assessors and collectors, providing counsel relating to procedures and guidelines put in place by legislation such as the Machinery Act•Interpret the Machinery Act to inform decisions addressing or resolving taxpayer concerns and conflicts relating to assessment and collection of property taxes, both real and personal•Receive and process deeds, wills, maps and other legal records – transferring of land/property from grantor to grantee and from decedent to beneficiary•Conduct field work for the office, picking up new construction and confirming conditions of property and making appropriate changes within our systems•Advise colleagues on appropriate course of action when assisting attorneys, relators, surveyors and taxpayers•Represent the Warren County Tax Office at monthly department head meetings
