Under a new team, I was promoted to a Senior Commissioning Manager role coordinating, planning and executing new and existing services with a focus on patient centered service. Key projects included:Developing and implementing a dementia project in collaboration with Age Concern and Halton Borough Council (equivalent to City) to raise awareness of dementia and de-stigmatize the condition; this role required co-ordination of key stakeholders.

Following promotion to Commissioning Manager, I gained research and business case writing skills for service development which I presented to the Management Executive Team for financial approval. In the business case proposals, I included analysis of service activity and costings.

I gained development and implementation experience creating a ‘Beating the Blues’ Centre to counter depression. My role also encompassed agreeing and implementing a pathway re-design with key stakeholders for patients with mild - moderate depression wishing to access a computerized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program. I was also responsible for team recruitment and training, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

I gained analytical experience monitoring patient activity in support of reporting service level agreements for Practice Based Commissioning. I was also responsible for establishing systems to collect patient activity and providing monthly reporting to the commissioning and finance departments. In addition I was a Quality Assessor for physician offices, coordinated and implemented benchmarking workshops for clinics to support quality of care improvements.
