I’ve seen just how much learning to love yourself, and dress yourself, can positively impact every aspect of a woman’s life”.With personal styling now recognised as a wellness tool, there’s so much more to a styling consultation than finding the perfect pair of jeans, or discussing handbags and accessories. Focusing on your personal style, and learning ways to shop, dress, and embrace your body can be life changing."I work with clients predominantly online, and am available for help with colour analysis, wardrobe edits, body shape analysis, style personality, and bespoke outfit guides - I can't wait to style you!" Myself and my colleague Donna had worked with a number of small businesses on their finances, websites, business plans and implementation and we felt that we had the knowledge and passion to dive our own idea forward. We put together a business plan for a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog and presented it to the company directors and passed this on to the main investor. The business heads were impressed with our approach and the model we had created and agreed to sign this off as a part of the social and marketing side of the business to work on alongside our previous supporting roles. We worked hard in our personal time and during evenings and weekends to create a blog which included interesting and relevant content, high quality images and a sense of community and friendship. Our blog was a huge success. We launched the blog in March 2016 and by August 2016 we were experiencing around 22,000 visits with 18,000 of these new visits per month. Our following grew very quickly and we were offered work with key brands, influencers, attended exciting events and were sent products from a range of brands.Towards the end of 2016 Inchora had to make financial cuts as a result of budget changes, withdrawing investment from any company that did not fit under the ‘fintech’ category. We were offered redundancy & Inchora kept the rights to the website and all surrounding social media account. Since this, Donna and I have gone on to create our own personal blogs/social media accounts to express our passion for blogging and content creation. We looked after and managed all aspects of the blog, from content ideas and creation, photography and editing, to the technical elements like SEO, affiliate marketing, PPC & social media marketing. A new team of staff was employed to drive the success of Cignpost forward, and I was employed in a business support role to assist in the launch of their new insurance product covering cancer. The company was very small and was still in the infancy stage in terms of what would be covered, how this would be offered and what the overall product would look like to the market targeted. Myself and a small team worked towards achieving a product specification, marketing materials, liaising with the underwriters, creating a system to link our database with the underwriters, and to ensure that there was a product for the launch. Shortly after launch, Inchora made the decision to no longer work in partnership with Cignpost following a dispute between the investors and the business owners. Unfortunately, this product was no longer available to the market and Cignpost staff were made redundant. A handful of Cignpost staff were kept on working directly for Inchora as a result of our hard work and demonstration of abilities transferable to other areas of the Inchora brand. My main responsibilities: • Managing the Business Support team and ensuring my team were happy and delivering• Assisting in the communication between the bespoke CRM & underwriters’ system• Verifying all customer details were stored, logged and tracked correctly• Supporting the sales and management teams • Recognising faults in the business model and helping to stamp out inefficiencies• Developing new methods for driving success• Liaising with the underwriter to communicate updates and changes in the business• Working closely with the Senior Management Team•Training other Business Support team members Show less
