As a recent graduate with a BSc in Biology from the University of Nottingham, I am a highly motivated, organised and hard-working individual. Throughout my degree, I developed a strong foundation in scientific research and analysis, with extensive field work experience. This has equipped me with many transferable skills suitable for a future career such as critical thinking, excellent time management and problem solving. I have hands-on experience from my final year lab-based dissertation project ‘The role of the metapleural gland in the prevention of disease outbreaks in Messor barbarus ant colonies.’ This project emphasised the importance of communication and collaboration within scientific research. I live an active lifestyle, enjoying hiking and regularly attending the gym. I was also a member of the Women’s Rugby team at university in which communication and teamwork are vital for the team to function. Experience gained from years of voluntary work and working within the hospitality sector has honed my interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills. I have a desire to expand my knowledge and learn new skills, whilst also using my existing attributes and experience to contribute towards a future employer’s success. I am actively seeking graduate schemes or employment opportunities for the 2025/26 academic year.
