During my GCSE’s I became a sales assistant at the local garden centre, where I quickly learnt what it was like to work with the public. During the busy season, I learnt how to have good time management and stay calm under pressure. I was also regularly asked to open and close the Garden Centre, which showed I had quite a level of responsibility and took it seriously. I was proud to be part of the team that had the highest sales ever recorded in one day. On a few occasions I ended up working a 12 hour shift as I had a large work load, this demonstrates that I’m willing to work long hours in order to the get the job done to a high level.
