I started off working at a young age when I created my own dog walking business. I would walk and pet sit the dogs in my neighborhood, starting from when I was only 13 years old. This small business lasted a few years, and I was able to learn a ton of job skills early on in life. Time management, reliability, and increased social communication were some traits I acquired while maintaining this small business.WhenI turned 16, I decided to get a customer service job at Panera. Durning my year working there, I learned how to confidently run the cash register and take customers orders. Working in a high speed environment was different at first, but I quickly adapted. I also had some other positions while I was there such as barista, food prep, drive-thru order taker, etc.My current job is at Paramount Beverage Distributers. I am the head biller, which means I bill all of the customers orders by communicating with the Sales Representatives. I have become an expert with the platform Quickbooks during my time woking here, which is important in the billing industry for a lot of companies. This job is very specific on numbers, which has taught me that mistakes made are incredibly costly to the company as a whole. My attention to detail skills have increasingly enhanced since working at this company.
