As the Association Lead on Diversity and Inclusion, I work internally and with external partners to identify, promote and create opportunities for diversity in industry. I assess internal best practices and find opportunities for improvement and growth. I have experience in policy and strategic planning having created the Association's 30 by 30 Strategy, and the more in depth Action Plan, a cross department long term plan to integrate diversity and inclusion into programming areas. In addition, I am the Association's project lead for the Sector Labour Market Partnership project, a two-year $1M provincial government grant to improve the number of women in industry, identify barriers, and create best practices, tools and opportunities throughout the province for individuals, organizations and educational institutions.

As part of the Professional Development team at APEGBC, I work to source, create and execute programming in continued professional development for Engineers and Geoscientists within the province of British Columbia specializing in, but not limited to, the areas of environment, sustainability, geoscience, geotechnical, diversity and the resource sector. I lead registration for our annual conference, manage professional development events, from webinars, seminars and other flexible learning options, and strive to create a vast selection of growth and learning opportunities for our current and future members. I am co-lead for our e-Learning Professional Engineering and Geoscience Practice in BC online seminar engaging with subject matter experts, development companies and conducted focus groups and ongoing surveys. I work with a fabulous team in a fun environment as we all look to assist and further develop programs for our professionals.

Connect, interact and provide programming to students and young alumni to aid in their success after graduation from UBC. Co-created Your Next Step career series where programs and resources are created to help alumni explore what’s next in the career progression of both new and mid-career UBC alumni. Programming includes networking events, in-person panel discussions, webinars, and online resources. I also provide programming in the form of semi-annual Convocations, mentorship opportunities and student leadership programming such as the UBC Student Leadership Conference and career enhancing opportunities.
