Job title change from previous job title and working in same department.- Lead Post 16 Academic and wellbeing mentor; taking responsibility for the writing up of mentoring reports, requesting student progress updates, monitoring attendance of vulnerable students and host weekly meetings with Post 16 mentoring team for cohesive working. - Attend and participate in parental meetings with vulnerable students - Attend Safeguarding meetings when required. - Weekly attendance report submitted to assistant director of Post 16.- Aid the transition of vulnerable Year 11 students into Post 16- Hold academic mentoring meetings with monitored students to affect improved outcomes, ensuring all meetings are logged so that impact can be shown- Monitor the use of non-contact time for students. - Lead the UCAS application process for all university applicants and be the academy’s UCAS Co-Ordinator. This includes the organisation and planning of university visits, being involved in the annual UCAS Parents Information Evening, the planning and deliver of UCAS workshops to aid Post 16 students with their applications, hold one to one meetings with university applicants as and when required and communicate with staff and parents any UCAS updates. - Lead and promote work experience week for Year 12’s whilst co-ordinating with the Academy’s Careers Lead.- Promote recruitment for Post 16 by participating in student and parent Year 11 interviews and attend Post 16 Open Evening- Take responsibility for a Post 16 tutor group; this will include following the Post 16 tutorial programme, giving individual advice and guidance to tutees on careers and university, monitoring the attendance of tutees and engaging tutees in conversations about their behaviour, attitude to learning and attendance as necessary
