For almost 15 years I have been lucky enough to call Glen Moray home and the day to day running of a busy distillery visitor centre in the heart of Speyside is something I live for. As a friendly and welcoming distillery we strive to create fantastic experiences through wonderful drams and traditional Scottish hospitality. Maintaining high standards for our visitor experience with a focus on great customer service is key to me while making sure our team as learned and enthusiastic as possible.I manage a small core team of staff, supplemented by a wider seasonal team throughout the busy season. Managing reservations and experiences for individual holidaymakers, large coach groups, high end corporate guests and everything in between. No job too big, no problem too small, I also provide support and assistance to regional and international sales and marketing teams which includes organising and attending festivals and events where required. Hosting product launches and on site events, everything from bespoke tastings to gala dinners.I have experience in managing company online and social media channels as well as feeding in to wider brand platforms and campaigns. Good first hand experience in running a small reception office solo, assisting wider office team in all admin work.Created new company website using basic HTML skills learned on the job. Completed several Business Administration courses during this time.

Working in a busy restaurant environment, bar service, functions, and accommodation side. Required me to have excellent time keeping, good personal presentation and to be discreet in my service. Customer service and communication skills were core to this role.I returned to the hotel several times over the next few years part-time as casual staff for outside catering events and busy periods. I still love hospitality work at a customer service level.
