I lead 5 Relationship Fundraising Managers within the South and South West area to deliver Macmillan’s supporter relationship plan to grow income across the fundraising portfolio through the delivery of bespoke stewardship and development. I am passionate about leadership, developing people and believe that we all have the right to bring our authentic selves to work every day. Relationships are what make me tick-whether it’s with donors or colleagues. Every day is a new opportunity to build bigger and better partnerships and to always ensure that the people you work with know their true value. In 2023 I won Macmillan’s Relationship Fundraising Leader of the Year award, an award nominated and voted on by my peers; something I am very proud of. I Chair the Relationship Fundraising learning and development working group, which writes, delivers and develops programmes and workshops for our division in-house and have previously worked on staff conferences, internal focus groups and strategy.I have 13 years of fundraising and charity experience and have stewarded major donors from the corporate sector, fundraising committees, individual givers and groups and associations.I developed and led a fundraising campaign to build a cancer support and information centre which raised in excess of £1 million and secured donations that ranged from £5 to £200,000. I’ve seen cancer from the other side of the table too… in 2020 I was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 41. Happy to say I’m now 4 years clear and more enthusiastic than ever to make a difference! I’m also a proud TEDx alumni speaker.
