holo - the lilo with a hole. This is my invention, a recently patented lilo for use in pregnancy, to lie on your tummy, on land or water, on holiday or at home, for relaxation, massage or sunbathing! It can also be used to get baby into optimal position for birth and help relieve SPD pains. The holo has been approved for use by the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists for Women's Health after a 4 month trial at the Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and they are being used by physios, midwives, ante-natal yoga teachers and mums-to-be worldwide. I have a creative background and am self taught in graphic design, using mostly indesign and photoshop, so like to put my skills to good use. I mostly help local charities and my children’s school out with their design needs but also offer cheap design and logo design solutions for small businesses.

As an Account Manager for The Awakening Agency, a film and production studio, I had the pleasure of liaising with clients directly, being available at all times to ensure that the client was happy with the progress of their project. My past production managerial experience gave me an outstanding reference for how projects work from beginning to end and this provided me with an excellent empathy towards the clients needs as well as our own. A design and production agency for the music industry; I was responsible for overseeing that all the projects ran on time from photoshoots to design to editorial to print and had close relationships with all departments, managing the work flow in this highly pressurised environment. Our main client was Decca Music Group and we took on Warner Classics and EMI Classics while I was there. Second to the MD, I was often in charge of client liaison and the weekly update meetings with Decca and Warners.

Starting as Production Co-ordinater I progressed to company board level after 6 years of employment. As Production Director I was responsible for a small production and editorial team producing 5 bi-annual business-to-business publications per year, contracting out of house design and repro, with printers in Hong Kong. My ethos was always to lead by example and have always had extremely positive relationships with my fellow employees. It was while at ICG that I learnt the design skills I have today, the essential time management that all projects require, the ability to liaise both at board level and shop floor and the art of negotiating a good deal when necessary.
