As a post-COVID 19 educator, I jump-started my career in teaching with the role of Third Grade Team Lead as the youngest faculty member. This leadership opportunity challenged and developed my management, curriculum facilitation and pedagogical adapatibily. Additionally, due to the dynamics and diversity of our dual language immersion program, I have taught many English Language Learners and developed trainings for the adults that care for them.

With the unique opportunity to shadow teachers in three different Utah school districts as a practicum student, I was then apprenticed under Amy Jensen. She is Nebo School District’s first grade teacher who instructed me with a Master’s in organizational management in fields of expertise such as elementary instruction, online learning, and district level training for educators.

In the field of education, I had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Corinna Peterken on primary and adult learner multiculturalism and inclusive art education practices.. We investigated topics of diversity, inclusion, and international scopes of education.Also in the higher education department, I worked with Dr. Paul Ricks in the field of children’s literature. Being an advisor to hundreds of adult learners over my time spent as a teacher’s assistant, I was able to work with them closely on their learning during their college experience.
