• Managing a seven day a week, 700 cover capacity venue in Canary Wharf, responsible for multiple bars and staff • Creating and maintaining relationships with various brands for partnerships, executing and managing sponsorship deals to run in house activations for global brands• Responsible for daily gross profit reporting• On-site event management for up to 700 guests per event for companies including Facebook, JP Morgan, Epic Games, Barclays and Iberica• Marketing strategies • To attend monthly management meetings setting out regularly updated KPI’s for entire venue staff including managers• Recruiting, training and motivating staff• Stock taking and ordering in line with monthly updated budgets• Quality control• Overseeing and liaising with on-site external businesses • Keeping up to date with licensing legislation, liaising with the authorities and adhering to procedures and practices as set out by estate management • Keeping up to date with and enforcing health and safety rules• Managing and adhering to budgets pertaining to the entire venue including staffing, purchasing and stock control, increasing profits and managing cashflow• Dealing with customer issues

With a key focus on guest experience the core of this role was designing and hosting a multitude of events and experiences both within the hotel and the local area. With backpacker budgets in mind it was imperative to negotiate and maintain relationships with local vendors and venues to ensure the optimum guest experience.The role ranged from managing and overseeing events on the day, being the first point of call to welcome guests as well as directing event set-up's both on site as well as in other venues and as the business grew, initiating new opportunities for events.
