With a key focus on guest experience the core of this role was designing and hosting a multitude of events and experiences both within the hotel and the local area. With backpacker budgets in mind it was imperative to negotiate and maintain relationships with local vendors and venues to ensure the optimum guest experience.The role ranged from managing and overseeing events on the day, being the first point of call to welcome guests as well as directing event set-up's both on site as well as in other venues and as the business grew, initiating new opportunities for events.
