I taught students ages 4-18 English, reading, writing, verbal, SAT, and ACT skills.

I worked at Waterman Broadcasting for a little over a year as a digital producer. I managed both NBC2 and ABC7's websites, social media pages and apps. My daily tasks included posting on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram; listening to the police scanners for breaking news; calling officials to confirm information; editing TV reporters' stories; writing up press releases and other information sent to the newsroom; doing original reporting; sending push alerts on the apps; cutting and publishing videos from the newscasts; and answering viewers' phone calls.

At Ink Publishing, I wrote stories for travel magazines, including American Airlines' inflight magazine, "American Way." I also transcribed interviews, conducted story research and copyedited. In addition, I helped the Human Resources Department with expense reports and event planning.

I started publishing my work with WUFT News when I took a news editing course last spring. I enjoyed the flexibility of creating my own Wordpress posts and working with Gary Green, the Deputy News Editor, so I continued working with him after the class had ended. I have covered a wide range of topics from Hurricane Irma to football games to gentrification for WUFT News. In my news editing class, I created a video project of interactive interviews with eight North Central Florida residents who had been affected by President Trump's election and policies. It is now featured on the homepage of Verse, the platform which I used to compile the clips. It also placed 16th in the Hearst Journalism Awards Program for Multimedia I.

As a photo intern, I took photos at an average of three events per week, created photo galleries using Merlin, Photo Mechanic, and Adobe Bridge, and edited at least one video per week on Adobe Premiere Pro.

Each day before a paper was printed (five days a week), I looked for a feature photo or covered an event. I made nearly a dozen photo stories and a handful of videos in my time on staff. I informed other photographers about photo opportunities and communicated with editors about the status of my photographic endeavors.

I assigned events to photographers to cover, budgeted for space for photos in the paper and made decisions regarding the paper's layout and content. In addition, I used Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge and other photo editing software to improve photos while adhering to journalism's rules for ethical photo editing.

My responsibilities included writing press releases for the newsletter, writing scripts, brainstorming and editing video content.

During my time working for Mediayoucanfeel (the LLC for Tangible Productions), I worked with clients like Study Edge and Benton Engineering Council, mediated communication between the president and clients, managed schedules and budgets for film projects and spearheaded recruitment campaigns to add new members to the club.
