I am experienced sustainability communicator and passionate community builder. I have spent nearly ten years bringing together San Diego's environmental community through organizing networking events, leadership in various professional development organizations, volunteering in the community, and offering connections to share regional opportunities.At Scripps Institution of Oceanography, I advocated for increased ocean and atmospheric research funding at the local, state, and federal levels. In this role, I enjoyed communicating science topics to various stakeholder groups and furthering Scripps Oceanography's mission of "Understanding and protecting the planet." Now at the Waitt Institute, I work with global experts and local communities to advance marine protection initiatives. As the lead organizer of San Diego Green Drinks and as board member of Pacific Beach Rotaract, I connect with professionals across the region with a goal of increasing awareness of and opportunity in San Diego's (growing) sustainability and service communities.
