I am employed as a solicitor in MRI’s legal team. I primarily assist in commercial matters, including the review and preparation of software agreements and partner agreements, privacy matters, company secretarial requirements and dealing with complex client queries. I also help prepare Government framework contracts and offer procurement advice as required.

I was employed as a commercial solicitor in Watson Burton LLP's corporate department. I advised on a variety of contractual matters and regularly reviewed and prepared documentation including terms and conditions, supply of goods and services agreements, agency and distribution agreements, outsourcing agreements and large IT contracts.I also provided advice and assistance in relation to intellectual property and I am experienced in preparing licence agreements, assignments, trade mark and design right applications and IP audits.I also assisted the Corporate team in the review of due diligence and other transactional matters.

I practised commercial and intellectual property law and completed the CLT Certificate in Intellectual Property Law in September 2015. I was actively involved in the support of start up and early stage businesses in the North East of England and in London. I was also the legal advisor to Northumbria University's graduate enterprise programme and provided ongoing support and assistance to its student and graduate businesses.I offered advice and assistance in relation to a variety of IP matters, including IP audits, IP applications in the UK and EU, handling infringements and passing off claims and preparing clearance checks. Aside from IP, I advised in contractual disputes and general commercial work including the preparation and review of terms and conditions, agreements and policies.I presented at, and worked with, lead start up accelerator programmes including IGNITE 100 and Mass Challenge UK on issues such as brand protection, IP and contract pitfalls.

I was employed as a family law solicitor and dealt with matters including care proceedings, adoption, contact and residence issues, divorce, dissolution and injunctions.
