Performed first-order quantitative analysis of descriptive data to determine performance projections and articulate claims regarding operations.Presented survey data analysis report to the project team and provided actionable insights to aid decision-making.Assisted the Evaluation Research Specialist in designing workflows and data storage systems to assist programmatic information use.Supported programs in collecting and curating programmatic data.

Investigated ethical artificial intelligence, more specifically the concept of “fair machine learning” to help generalize and determine if possible harms caused by biased algorithms are equal across all groups.Assisted the development of new “fairness criteria” through literature review, mathematical modeling, and implementation in Python for real-life applications.

Under the leadership and direct supervision of the Associate Director of Academic Initiatives, my roles include assisting in the facilitation of high-impact learning components of the Raza Research and Conference program. Specifically, I coach students with academic projects, which aid in the retention, academic success, and post-baccalaureate mindset of historically underrepresented students.

Researching how culture and language affect cognitive development in children the ages of 3 to 4 years old. I am in charge of recruiting participants by contacting schools, securing paperwork, and setting up test appointment dates. My duties include running multiple tests on participants, as well as collecting, encoding, and analyzing data.

My role focuses on key social and academic facets of the student experience, including:- Acclimating to the academic culture of UC San Diego- Discovering UC San Diego’s robust community of support for all students- Building a strong network of peers and mentors- Easing the exciting transition from high school to collegeOther responsibilities include leading and guiding a team of students through the obstacles and challenges that come with a major transition like college. Facilitating meetings multiple times a week and completing paperwork through excel sheets. Guiding one on one conversations with individuals to help them feel understood and valued.

Acting as the first point of contact and resource for incoming students. This is accomplished through facilitating a variety of meetings containing over a hundred students through preparing and presenting crucial information in the most ideal and efficient way.
