CurrentField Service Technician and Shop Technician for IPS, I administer innovative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail to repair industrial AC/DC electric motors, generators, gear boxes and related equipmentAs Field Service TechnicianInspect, test and troubleshoot various electro-mechanical equipmentPerform electrical tests using portable electronic equipment including but not limited to: Megger®, PdMA MCE, Multimeter, and DLROInstall/Remove AC and DC electric motors, laser align equipment, read precision measuring tools such as micrometers, replace sleeve and anti-friction bearings, set seals, air gap, torque critical components to proper torque specsClean electro-mechanical equipment utilizing bead blasting, ice blasting, and solvent cleaningAs Shop TechnicianDiagnose incoming units, disassemble, repair, assemble, and prepare items for shipmentPerform mechanical rebuilds on rotating apparatus repairs like electric motors, pumps, and fansMeasure and record data using tables, dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration metersUse multi-meters, meggers, Baker instruments, and measure winding resistance, RTD and heater resistances, and mechanical fits and clearancesParticipate in daily operations discussions on customer products
