As a Scrum Master, I’m a servant leader that works to empower those on my team to think beyond themselves and put the end user, team members, and our collective goals at the forefront. Over the last 5+ years of wearing the Scrum Master hat, I’ve made sure to focus on building trusted relationships and cultivating an environment that invites collaboration, fast & forward failure, and emphasizes sustainable development. My growth mindset has allowed me to learn from the challenges and shortcomings that I’ve encountered to be a better Scrum Master to my teams and organization. With strong interpersonal skills and creativity, I’m able to assist in resolving team conflicts while facilitating value centered interactions. I’m aware that processes and tools only go as far as the people that wield them. That’s why I make it a priority to provide coaching, positive reinforcement, resources, and the environment for my teams to be productive and successful.In my time as Product Manager, I have displayed the ability to consistently deliver value to our end users and the business by aligning customer needs and business objectives. I excel at collaborating with stakeholders, prioritizing features, and partnering with team members to make sure they understand what is needed and are confident in the direction we are headed. As a PM that entered the role from being Scrum Master, I’m passionate about agile frameworks and even more so the agile mindset. This means the Agile Manifesto as well as the Scrum values and pillars, greatly inform the way that I operate as a PM.
