For my third rotation, I am working in the Advanced Materials Engineering (AME) team as a Materials Engineer. I am researching new technologies for HVAC and supporting our business units.

At Carrier, I'm part of the Engineering Leadership Program as a Materials Science Engineer. For my second rotation as an ELP, I worked in New Product Development on the Applied Rooftops Team (ART) as a mechanical engineer. I modeled the performance of a new line of large rooftop commercial HVAC units to prepare for the production launch this year. I also worked closely with R&D to test a new technology that will be implemented in HVAC.

In my first rotation as an ELP, I worked on the Fire, Security, and Sensor Technologies (FSAS) Team in Carrier where I lead the development and testing of cutting-edge solutions for both industrial and residential applications. I trained and managed a team of over 20 people. I directed 8 programs that impacted our 500 SWE members and over 200 community members. I organized, budgeted, and hosted the annual SWE Leadership Conference

I organized and facilitated the application process for our 2021-2022 Officer team. I moderate and keep running our organization wide discord server that has over 150 members. I make reservations for meeting locations for all our meetings and programs. And I provide support for our officers through weekly meetings and check ups.

The SWE High School Conference is an annual event held in late January. As one of the three co-chairs, I was tasked with creating a virtual conference for juniors and seniors. This entailed recruiting volunteers, marketing to high schools, converting our activities to fit a virtual platform, and scheduling events from university programs.

I conducted process and materials research for an ongoing failure investigation. I developed an online automated sample tracking an inventory system for the Failure Analysis Lab. I compiled materials standards used in hydrogen service and created a reference matrix for relevant factors. From this internship, I gained many technical skills relating to material science and materials characterization.

As outreach chair, I coordinate the outreach committee to help plan the rush process for Theta Tau Xi Gamma. I guide the Rush director and help plan events to recruit new memebers.

As Rush director, I coordinate of all the events we host to recruit new members to our organizations. My responsibilities include leading committee meetings, reserving event locations, planning interactive events, and presenting information about the organization.
