I have a PhD (Chemistry) from the University of Melbourne and focus mainly on patent matters in the chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and materials science areas. I enjoy learning about the underlying science of innovative technologies and understanding the commercial objectives of my clients. I work with local and international research organisations and companies to develop successful IP strategies. My practice involves drafting and prosecution of patent applications, preparation of evidence in opposition proceedings, as well as providing infringement and freedom to operate advice. I have particular expertise managing portfolios for overseas clients in Australia, New Zealand and across South East Asia. I provide a co-ordinated approach to achieve consistent and commercially valuable protection across the SE Asian region.
