I currently work at Sopley Mill running the venue; I conduct show rounds, liaise with suppliers, take bookings and keep up with current bookings ensuring everything is planned to perfection. I help to set up on the day of weddings/events and help partially co-ordinate the weddings in regard to Registrar’s and ensuring the day runs smoothly. I run all of Sopley Mill’s social media and some other marketing platforms; I use these to gain new clients and continue to do so, with very high engagement. No day at work for me is the same and I am always going the extra mile and using my initiative to ensure everything within the Venue and the events are perfect.

During summer of 2017 I worked on-board a cruise ship in Australia for six weeks to gain some travel experience, it was a very intense experience working 14hour days a lot of the time. I learnt a lot about the hospitality industry throughout my time there and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also helped out with what I know best and organised a few crew events including themed parties and film nights.

Throughout my time at Tesco working part time I was able to progress to duty manager, this involved stock control, leading and working closely with a small team, serving and helping customers, handling money and dealing with complaints.

To gain some experience within the events industry I worked a six week unpaid summer job at The Cottonwood Boutique. This involved me providing excellent customer service to clients through various different contact methods. To assistant with the planning and event during the day of Bournemouth air show within the hotel (Afternoon Tea) which involved marketing, taking bookings, organising entertainment and various other things. My other jobs wereto take bookings for weddings and other large events, whilst also creating a database of contacts for the business to use as suppliers for their events.

Alongside university I took on a part time job as ward clerk. I would be booking in patients fornew appointments and organising their transport. Inputting data, photocopying, filing and ordering new equipment. I would also cover an area of reception and ensure all patients and visitors were well looked after.
