I took part as an undergraduate research assistant in the TUBITAK project 218M181 "Using Borane for Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Conversion to Valuable Raw Materials (B-CO2)", which is carried out jointly with Montpellier University as part of the Bosphorus Program in France.My responsibilities in the project are;• Establishing the experimental setup and conducting experiments with the other project teammates.• Doing analyses with the laboratory instruments such as GC-MS, FT-IR.• Making a literature review about subjects like carbon capturing, hydrogen production using a carbon recources, converting carbon dioxide to valuable feedstocks, reduction of carbondioxide with boranes.End of the project, I have gained knowledge about;• Using and working with the laboratory equipments.• How to operate and analyze the laboratory instruments for instance GC-MS, FT-IR, NMR, XPS, XRD, TG/DTG.• Understanding and reading the result of the analysis and comparing with the literature.• Hydrogen production using boranes and carbondioxide, carbon resources and carbon dioxide capturing, reduction of carbondioxide, production of valuable feedstocks using carbondioxide

Learning the laboraty equipments and have a oppurtunity to the work with the useful equipments such as GC-MS, FT-IR, Glove Box is a good experience for me.
