As project and development engineer, I am responsible for project management and development work within the company. My main focus has been managing the development of a new to market measurement system, putting the project documentation in place, in addition to contributing to the development of the python code. This is a multifaceted role during which I have been involved in different activities. - Undergraduate Lab Demonstrator: I demonstrated in 2nd year physics undergraduate labs helping students to understand the physics of their experiment as well as aiding with the kit. I also marked their lab books providing written feedback. I was also able to act as a mentor for the students and discuss future module options and career prospects, as well as providing encouragement when things weren't going well. - Undergraduate Coursework Marker: I marked 1st year physics undergraduate coursework providing written feedback to students on areas of improvement. This allowed me to develop my time management skills as I often had many papers to mark along side work for my PhD. - Applicant Tour Guide: I was responsible for giving tours and talks to perspective students showing them everything the university has to offer. I was there to inspire students to take physics and to answer any questions they had about life at the university and within the department. I further developed my public speaking and customer service skills while in this role.

I have had experience in a busy bars, taking money, operating the till and keeping the bar area clean. From this I know that I am able to work quickly and cope with the demand of working in a high speed environment. I have worked in many different places including Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, Capital FM Arena and at the Burghley Horse Trials showing my flexibility to work in many different or changing environments. At the horse trials I was put in charge of my area showing my leadership abilities.
