Project included capacity improvements to the SR-874 mainline by adding one lane in each direction from Kendall Drive to SR-826, bridge widening at Snapper Creek Canal (C-2 canal), Galloway Road (SW 87 Ave.), Sunset Drive (SW 72 Street.), and Miller Drive (SW 56 Street.)Brickell Key Bridge Rehabilitation, Project Administrator. Scope of work for this (ARRA) project included the repair and reconstruction of damaged concrete areas along the deck top, pre-stressed deck slab unit, piles, girders, and intermediate and end bent caps. The repairs included external strengthening with carbon fiber, installation of pile jackets with cathodic protection, epoxy injection, metalizing the girders, and seal the concrete deck to enhanced skid resistance. MIA Mover is an Automated People Mover system between the Miami International Airport and the Miami Intermodal Center; it is an elevated dual-lane, (1.27-mile) guideway between 30 and 45 feet above grade. Auger-cast piles and driven concrete piles with conventional or post-tensioning reinforced concrete pier columns with hammerhead caps, post-tensioning cantilever pier caps, inverted tee or straddled bents, FDOT Florida Bulb-tee beams (B-72 of 95 to 125 feet approximately spans), a twin steel box girder completed the final portion to the MIC, the deck supports 4 running plinths where the rubber-tired people mover operates. Project included a new NB ramp to SR-874 from Kendall Drive and realignment of the existing EB on ramp to SR-878, a bridge consisting of twin steel box girders supported by concrete inverted tees, the cast in place column sat on drill shafts.SR-836 WB Auxiliary Lane (NW 72 Ave. Bridge) and NW 57th Ave. to SR-826, Senior Roadway/Bridge Inspector. The first Project was a new 2-lane bridge over the CSXT/FEC railroad tracks and the Venetian and Airport Outlet Canals, the bridge has 7 spans of Type V AASHTO beams and pre-stressed concrete piles.Environmental Resource Management, Federal Emergency Management Agency Projects, Senior Inspector.
