I was a systems engineer in the field of network security.For most of the time, I designed, built, implemented and supported application-level proxy firewalls and VPN concentrators.Besides firewalls, I also dealt with centralized network logging, authentication and identity management solutions.I developed the flagship NAC product of the company.Forensics and incident response, log analysis were among the minority of the everyday tasks.

I was a network security consultant in this position.In general, this is very much like a standard ITSec job at a company like this. My job was to proactively monitor of network threats, make IPS block patterns.I did a lot of security audits of the corporation's hardware and software assets including their configurations, updates, and management.On the long-term, my task was to maintain the constant level of security awareness and strategy with architects throughout the organization.I conducted incident investigations and kept contact with authorities and partner organizations.
