Siemens V843A, 480 MW CCGT Performed all plant mobilization tasks for the first ever-large scale CCGT in Brazil. This included training, O&M policies and procedures in ISO formats, implement the CMMS, establish inventory control, performed punch list to receive equipment from the constructor, lead person on the design review team and assisted in negotiating the Power Purchase Agreement with the local utility.Conceived the concept and oversaw the establishment of "center of excellence" training center and trained mostly all young technicians and engineers from the ground up on power plant operations and maintenance. Implemented systems expert training and all safety and environmental training. Today, these people are managers and supervisors in power plants worldwide.

Four years later upon my return to the Dominican Republic many of these staff returned to work for me at Basic Energy and are ready even today to join me again for any project that I am responsible for.

Installation and start up Manager - 4 Plants LM 2500 and LM 5000 STIG Selected to lead the push into the Latin American market installing four fast track power plants during an energy crisis. Received letters of commendation from the President of Colombia. Promoted to plant manager at the Ocoa facility, the most remote location where full time bodyguards were necessary. Received various commendations from the owners, Ecopetrol. Led this plant to win the best plant in the country acknowledgement by SSOI internal auditors after only one years operations.

3 x GE LM 2500 units Installed and commissioned the three units in remote region of Brazil. At the customer's request remained on site for two years to serve as the technical advisor to the owners' maintenance and operations team. Responsible for the first ever conversion of the LM 2500 units to synchronous condenser operations and conducted the GE turbines OEM recommended training in Portuguese.

O&M mobilization , plant start up and plant management

Initially assigned to the offshore 300 foot MODU unit, Harvey H. Ward in Brunei and later promoted to Electrical Superintendent/Inspector for a similar rig built in Argentina, then on to Japan for the construction of a 5000 foot semi-submersible. At that time the semi was the premier state of the art MODU in the world.Despite an on the job injury stayed on site and in charge of the electrical crew and ensured an on-time delivery of the Argentina built jack up rig.Supervised the fast-track rebuild of an engine room, replacing all power generation equipment in one month after a fire on one of our jack up rigs in Indonesia.

Start up EngineerResponsible for a team of service personnel installing and commissioning power generation equipment and DC SCR motor drives on land and offshore drilling rigs around the globe. Promoted to Field Services Manager after only one year.

Earned Joint Services Commendation Medal while serving with the Joint Casualty Resolution Center, (JCRC) Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force, tasked with resolving MIA / POW issues in SE Asia.
