Work is most exciting to me when I don't have the answers. (At least not yet)I was born an engineer. Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated by invention, science, robots, aircraft, and basically anything I can get my hands on. I get to be an engineer professionally now but even when I get home I break out my 3d printers (yes plural), custom built computer (100% nerd), and get to work designing, prototyping, and researching my latest interests. One of my most recent endeavors is pursuing my Master's degree at Georgia Tech. Diving deep into computational science and software is opening new doors to my ability to be a diverse and agile engineer. The world of computation is especially exciting to me because it is ever evolving and there will always be new knowledge to obtain. When I am not engineering, playing with a 3d printer, or solving a Rubik's cube, I am likely engaged in one of my other hobbies. I have played piano since I was 7, taught piano since I was 13, have composed several songs, and I occasionally get a paid gig as a local organist. Another pastime is battling against my friends in a good strategy board game (if “Dune Imperium” means anything to you then we are already friends). Photography is one of my most recent ventures. It has been eye opening to see the world of aperture, focal points, ISOs, and exposure times come to life. It is both a blessing and a curse that I tend to collect hobbies and skills. I always desire to be somewhere I can provide the most I have to offer. In addition to solving problems, I take great joy in helping the people around me grow in their capabilities. The team I am on is important to me and I am thrilled to see my team tackle problems together. I have been very blessed to work with amazing engineers and other professionals. I am always working to further develop a culture that leads to success.
