Working as a control, protection, and maintenance engineer on ± 660KV HVDC converter station having 4000MW capacity with the prime responsibilities:• Advanced understanding of Schnieder and ABB AC protection (Distance, Differential, Over Current, Restricted Earth Fault (REF) & Earth Fault protection and auto reclose relays.). relay setting, testing, and configuration of ABB and Schneider products (such as REL670, RED 670, MICOM P140, P443, P540, P642, P470).• To carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of control and protection equipment of 132KV AC, 500KV AC and 660KV DC.• To carry out preventive & corrective maintenance of different kind of instruments like flow sensor, nitrogen cylinder, oil, and gas leakage detection.• Performing daily inspections of all secondary equipment and coordinate with operation team during any abnormal condition.• Troubleshooting and fault analysis of control and protection circuits of LV, HV and EHV equipment of DC and AC system.• Onsite inspection during line tripping, extracting data from relay, analyzing fault recorder, and writing technical report.• Maintaining and keeping records of secondary equipment spare parts and inventory control.• To keep and update daily patrol record, drawings, fault reports and technical literature.• Ability to analyze and interpret engineering drawings, codes, standards, technical procedure.• Follow daily training schedule to train newly hired trainee engineers.• Testing of 500KV and 132KV distance protection relay setting.

• Took an active role in 500KV AC line commissioning and DC Low and High-Power Commissioning at Matiari converter station.• Learned HVDC Secondary maintenance of AC filter, DC filter, measuring system, converter transformer, valve cooling system, pole control and protection.• Analyzed secondary circuit diagrams to verify the control loops.• Assisted Sr. engineer in preparing maintenance schedules, management of spare parts and Inventory Control.• Routine inspection of communication system, fault recorder system, converter transformer protection, DC measurement, control, and protection system.• Routine inspection of DC supply system, AC protection system, AC filter protection system, valve cooling system and station power system.• Learned the working of thyristor valve control system and thyristor valve cooling system.• Got familiar with valve cooling automation equipment and Siemens PLC S7-400 and S7-300.
