As a Teacher Facilitator at Luminate Education Group as part of the 2024/25 academic year I deliver the Level 2 NCFE Creating a business, BTEC Level 2 Business Enterprise and BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Business within the Business School at our Printworks Campus. Previously I have delivered the BTEC Level 3 Marketing, BTEC Level 2 Business within the School of Events, Enterprise and Employability. My key responsibilities are: 1. Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.2. Maintain and update knowledge of educational research to develop evidence- based practice3. Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills to enable progression.4. Reflect on what works best in teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of students5. Adapt curriculum delivery methods to maximise their effectiveness, including through the use of technology6. Carry out internal verification/moderation.7. Plan, prepare and develop effective schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources including the development of on-line learning resources. 8. Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.9. Develop and employ effective assessment activities for identified modules.10. Assess student work, provide constructive and timely feedback to motivate and inspire the learner to improve and record learners’ progress for identified modules.11. Create SMART targets, record and monitor progress against them. Implement positive interventions where needed, for students undertaking identified modules.12. Apply theoretical understanding of effective practice in teaching, learning and assessment drawing on research and other evidence.13. Implement evidence-based strategies to ensure high levels of retention, achievement, success and attendance for identified cohorts.

During my term at Crawshaw Academy I was a trainee teacher delivering the curriculum of business studies/ Enterprise skills to the cohorts of year 7- sixth form.

In a Post-16 Education setting I have taken up a new role within, Leeds City College in the School of Events, Enterprise and Employability. As part of my role as a Project Worker I assist with the design and execution of student engagement activities and projects within the department curriculum for Level 1 – Level 3 learners. In addition, to embedding Enterprise and Employability skills within every project to enhance student learning and create opportunities for students to add to their CVs outside of the classrooms and support the achievement of department goals. Produce evaluation reports of the projects run alongside individual case studies to evidence the positive effects these have had on the students learning and personal skills.Furthermore, I have recently undertaken a Level 3 Award in Education and Training to enable department needs to be met. This has enabled me to teach BTEC Level 3 Marketing ( modules included: Unit 1 Careers in Marketing, Unit 2: Marketing in Principles and Unit 3: Customer Communications) and BTEC Level 2 Business and Enterprise within a teacher trainee capacity in line with our Luminate Education Group’s Quality Assurance and national teaching standards.

Being a Customer Experience Assistant at Leeds City College as part of the Luminate education group partners Student Recruitment team. My role focuses on dealing with a number of different queries while providing support to students throughout the student journey from application to enrolment.Throughout my role I am responsible for the following: • Ensuring that the highest level of reception service is delivered consistently to students, staff, stakeholders and external visitors to exceed their expectations• Provide an excellent reception service, greet and sign in visitors, issue student ID passes, check ID badges, answer telephone calls and any other admin duties required• Identify, avoid and resolve problems quickly to enhance the customer journey• To complete student applications from “application to enrolment” providing information and guidance throughout their journey. Overall, everyday is different working in this role which is great.

This has been demonstrated by being present at the University of Huddersfield’s open days, the Business School’s student recruitment events. Furthermore, as part of my role is to act as an ambassador of the University by supporting the work of the Marketing team within Huddersfield Business School. As a part-time role as a Student Peer Educator during, the final year of my Business Management course at The University of Huddersfield. My role sits within the Wellbeing team as part of the many Student Services students on campus have access to throughout the academic year. The main purpose of my role within, the Student Services is to be part of the Student Peer Educator team which such projects and campaigns aim to raise awareness of hate crimes, harassment and anti-social behavior as well as, signpost towards reporting and support resources.My main duties and responsibilities as part of my role within, the Student Peer Educator team is to: • To facilitate outreach and engagement work on campus (including halls of residence)• To facilitate outreach and engagement work online (social media platforms)• To enable University members to recognise and respond to hate crime. • To facilitate and manage difficult conversations around relevant social topics such as current events, radicalisation, prejudice, and crime. • To develop a social media marketing approach• To attend regular meetings with the project coordinator and other members of the team.• Actively engage with at-risk groups to tackle discrimination and build more resilient communities.• To undertake any other duties relevant to the post as and when required

I was responsible for delivering a professional, customer-focused service for a range of stakeholders such as: current students (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) who study at the University of Huddersfield, potential students, applicants, parents, carers and other family members as well as, members of the public at specific public interest events held by the School of Human and Health Sciences. While working as a Marketing Placement student I supported and assisted with the delivering of School events including public interest events and recruitment and conversion activities such as open days, taster days, applicant visit days. This included carrying out various administrative tasks such as invitation of delegates, maintaining accurate records of attendance, preparation of delegate information packs, booking of rooms and catering, provide meet and greet services and assisting with campus tours. Throughout, my role I also had the opportunity to develop my technical skills through the responsibility for updating and monitoring of the School’s social media accounts. In addition, to taking photos which then would be uploaded to various web pages. I also had the responsibility for designing the Postgraduate Research Conference programme as well as creating various reports using Microsoft packages and other University systems.

Ahead of going to college or University I ran my own blog which was a basic website called EJMfashion which gained over a 100,000+ readership. The blog showcased my main interests of fashion and lifestyle. Alongside those main strands of the blog it gave me the opportunity to work with various commercial companies whilst, creating a platform projecting own my passion of capturing the creative emerging talents in the following areas: writing, fashion design, jewellery, and photography.Not only did this platform allow me to form professional connections the blog was an opportunity for me to test, develop and discover what were my strengths, weaknesses and what area of business I wanted to create a career in. Being in this secondment role I have had the opportunity to work on different live projects happening at Magpie. In summer 2016, I had the following duties including managing the social media strategy and online content for this year's World Curry Festival. On a daily basis, I had the responsibility to update the website with relevant information helping to drive ticket sales and grow public interest in the festival. I also assisted the team with the delivery of a print campaign for the ‘NHS Today is the Day’ which was where I made sure on foot that the campaign was delivered across Leeds. The opportunity to work on various live projects as developed my time management, organisational, creative problem-solving skills whilst enhancing my commercial awareness.

Being in the role of a Student Brand Manager part-time at Magpie, a full-service creative agency based in Leeds. Magpie delivers creative campaigns, branding, a student insight team and digital work for education, health and commercial sectors. I had the following duties to be responsible for on a weekly basis including conducting market research, writing blog posts, generating creative and communicate innovating ideas to create new campaign ideas, as part of working within a team or through individual tasks to improve existing marketing materials. Being a manager this developed transferable skills (e.g. being able to work in a team, time management and problem-solving) whilst, increasing my knowledge of how a creative marketing agency operates.

My role as a sales assistant offered the required customer services through the host of hospitality Morrisons Customer Cafe brings to its stores. I was responsible for sales across the department such as weekly promotional lines alongside meeting budgets. Customer focus was the main body behind my job role whilst, being flexible by working as a team leader and team member to drive the sales of the department amongst ensuring that all consumers had the highest standard of service as possible. I brought my theoretical understanding of business knowledge into my role as a sale assistant. Which enabled sales to be met or accomplish over the targets as well as creating that level of clientele for the cafe amongst, a push for meeting that confidence between colleagues, taking leadership, myself being a team member as well as bringing that focus on where the department needs to be driven too or areas that need to be improved to all targets to be met.
