As a final-year Computer Science student at Dublin City University, I'm passionate about building software that makes an impact. From developing an AI-powered Bedtime Story Maker to redesigning a university timetable app for a better user experience, I’m fascinated by the potential of technology to solve real-world problems in creative ways. My journey through university has given me a strong foundation in full-stack development, machine learning, and API integration, and I’m excited to bring this knowledge into a software engineering role where I can make a difference.One of my favourite projects involved building a machine-learning-powered health app that predicts potential medical conditions through a series of "Yes/No" questions. This project pushed me to combine technical precision with a user-friendly interface, underscoring the importance of accessible, well-designed applications. Similarly, collaborating on an online platform for the board game “Go” taught me the value of seamless real-time data handling, as well as the rewards of working closely with a team to bring an idea to life. These experiences showed me the power of teamwork and adaptability, and I’m excited to continue learning in a collaborative, dynamic environment.Beyond my technical skills, I bring a unique perspective from customer-facing roles, where I learned how to communicate effectively, stay organized under pressure, and adapt quickly. As a barista and server, I developed a strong sense of empathy and learned how to navigate challenging situations with patience and clarity—qualities that are invaluable in software development when understanding user needs and collaborating with colleagues.
