1. Participating in the recruitment, selection and admission of mature students in conjunction with the head of subject, admissions team and other staff as required. 2. Promoting a supportive attitude towards students and dealing with matters of student welfare referred by academic tutors, module coordinators or students. 3. Delegating responsibility for different components of, and tasks associated with the course. 4. Informing and advising staff and students on all aspects of the course. 5. Maintaining regular and effective contact with year coordinators. 6. Liaising with the External Examiners, concerning assessment and programme development issues. 7. Working with head of department to plan annual curriculum review in terms of programme planning, development and evaluation. 8. Preparing the annual course report

- Provide support for both students and practice educators- Provide pre-briefing for practice educators on their roles and responsibilities- Ensure students are prepared to successfully complete practice education placement- Assist students and practice educators in finalising learning objectives- Provide on-site support to students and educators for mid-way and final assessment using the Competency Based Fieldwork Evaluation – Occupational Therapy (CBFE-OT) - Facilitate Practice Education workshops for new and current practice educators- Contact potential clinical sites for student practice placements- Complete administrative or additional tasks as required

- Provision of early intervention assessment, identification of available supports and collaboratively develop brief solution focused therapeutic interventions- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management plans as appropriate- Development and facilitation of group based interventions- Facilitate level 1 and 2 workshops to third level students and professional groups working with young people regarding mental health - Audit and evaluation of mental health service and both client and group interventions- Engage in supervision with a senior therapist, while undertaking relevant administrative tasks- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports, discharge plans and follow up reports.- Provide advice, support and training to the public and other allied community and health services- Collaborate with clients, family/carers and community agencies in the provision of treatment, support and advice

Inpatient Psychiatric Department- Assess, plan, implement and review treatment and intervention programmes- Manage caseload with supervision from a senior OT, while undertaking relevant administrative tasks- Collaborate with clients, family/carers and members of the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of treatment, support and advice- Discharge planning and facilitating transition between services as appropriate- Document all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, reports and discharge plans- Attend team meetings, review meetings, family meetings and case conferences.- Act as Care-Coordinator to clients as part of their care plan – ensuring empowerment of clients through advocacy and client-centred treatment - Facilitate recreational, psycho-educational and therapeutic groups on the acute ward, and off ward in the OT department
