Worked in the Neuroendocrinology laboratory of Dr David Crews, funded by a self-obtained NIH National Research Service Award (NRSA). Studied the expression of sex steriod receptors in the hypothalamus in an ancestral and descendant species of whiptail lizards, the latter of which is parthenogenic -- all female. Established the in situ hybridization.
