My role focused on the setup, operation and troubleshooting of small to medium audio systems. Allowing me to mix audio for everything from bands to conferences to DJ performances, however I also had the pleasure of being involved with all aspects of the entire technical package. Which exposed me to the fundamentals of rigging and power distribution and allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by the other departments of lighting and video and how they overcame them.I was able to use my time on site to learn basic lighting and video setup and operation to help my fellow technicians If there was no or little audio onsite. I was also able to have exposure to the background processes on the business side, such as client meetings, site visits and quoting.
