During my apprenticeship, I gained hands-on experience in several key aspects of construction and project management, including Bill of Quantities (BOQ), Deviation, Conversion, Estimation, Design, and Planning.I learned how to create and interpret the BOQ, which is critical for determining the quantities and costs of materials, labor, and equipment required for a project. This experience gave me a strong foundation in accurately assessing the financial scope of construction projects. Additionally, I became adept at managing Deviations, involving the identification of changes from the original project specifications and adjusting cost estimations and timelines accordingly.Working with Conversions, I developed the ability to convert various units and measurements, a necessary skill when working across different regions or with different material standards. Estimation became another core focus, where I learned to predict the necessary resources, time, and budget, ensuring that projects remain within financial constraints.In the realm of Design, I was involved in reading and sometimes contributing to design plans, which enhanced my understanding of how detailed layouts and blueprints drive project execution. Finally, my experience in Planning sharpened my ability to organize and schedule tasks, balance resources, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope.Together, these skills equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of the key elements that contribute to the successful execution and management of construction projects.
