In a quasi-experimental design, we implemented a comprehensive two-month critical thinking program with an experimental group of 30 participants and compared their outcomes to a control group of 30 participants who received no intervention. The critical thinking education program, based on the well-established Paul-Elder model, aimed to enhance participants' analytical skills, source evaluation abilities, and media literacy competencies. Our findings revealed that the program significantly impacted the experimental group, reducing their scores on threat perception, misinformation belief, and conspiracy thinking compared to the control group. These reductions were statistically significant, indicating a substantial effect of critical thinking education on the outcome variables.
