- The ACS (Academic and Student Success) Department at FIU approached the ICAVE with the task of using HP provided hardware to produce a VR experience for the FYE (First Year Expereince) course. They wanted something done with multiplayer support for student collaboration in real-time in a virtual space.- We provided an implementation made in Unreal 4.23.

Optimized a Virtual Forest experience to run on a wide ranging set of hardware. Documentation on the process and extended guides for third-party tools used were also provided. Platform binaries were provided with an installer for ease of distribution (PC / Mac). Client provided full scope of possible approaches to optimization as well as consultation on.

R&D a polished prototype intended for demoing with a team of 3 developers. We are testing the viability of hardware (Oculus Quest) and software (Unreal, VREP) have the required accuracy for co-location, and features required for the prototype.
