As the Director of Infrastructure and Architecture at Sumo Logic, a Francisco Partners company, I am responsible for the day to day operations or core systems, the development and deployment of enterprise solutions, and the transformation of global solutions to enterprise level excellence. I oversee on premise infrastructure, AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms as well as a host of SaaS and IaC solutions being leveraged. Additionally, I manage our Data Engineering division, drawing on my years of data experience to define data ingestion, platform, and consumption implementation and architecture. I lead a team of highly talented individuals from the trenches, actively architecting and coding alongside my team.

While working for AWS, I was introduced to Infor, a partner company to Amazon, and made the move to provide my skills to Infor, leaving AWS professional services. While at Infor I was the sole architect of one of their prime products. I was able to successfully lead the design and FedRamp high audit of the product to general availability for a top customer with tight deadlines. I worked with a team of experts who, together, helped me to drive innovation at Infor to new heights.What did I do?- Created reusable FedRamp certified infrastructure architectures and implementations using multi-cloud technology to get a multi-million dollar project deployed- Architected, built and enhanced end-to-end deployment automation solutions to increase efficiency and reduce production delivery times- Refined and implemented large-scale improvements to enterprise systems- Led a global, cross-company team of initiatives in a flagship product to create lasting architectures and deployment strategies

AWS is a giant among giants that sets the standard in cloud skill. At AWS, I had the pleasure of working with numerous customers to bring their cloud needs to life. It was here that I developed a broad understanding of the cloud landscape and consumer needs that have helped to create the foundation that my innovation and ideas are born from to this day. In all of my career, working for Universal Parks and Resorts was the most magical job I have had. If it weren't for location needs, I would still be there today. UPR provides a world class customer experience that the tech I was able to work on brought to life. While in the position I set up a configuration management system for rapid deployment and information pulling across the GM Financial infrastructure. This system was stoop up on Puppet Enterprise. I also was tasked with some budgetary work and refinement, as well as big data sorting for risk remediation. In terms of the risk remediation, I was able to determine the cause of rampant risk exception creation and personally remedy 20 critical vulnerabilities, per audit requirements.
