Chief Legal Officer for King George County, a public corporate body and political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, with a population of approximately 25,000 and a total combined annual budget of approximately $70 million. Responsible for providing comprehensive legal services to the Board of Supervisors, Service Authority and Wireless Authority Board of Directors, constitutional officers, local planning commission, other appointed bodies and county staff. Provide legal advice and counsel concerning all facets of county government, including constitutional law matters, local legislation, community development, real estate and economic development, employment matters , utilities and general services, environmental and permitting compliance, local tax, finance and budget matters, transportation and infrastructure issues, contract formulation, negotiation, and compliance, procurement, fire, rescue, and emergency services matters, state and federal legislative and regulatory matters, and litigation. Provide legal services concerning corporate governance, Virginia Freedom of Information Act, State and Local Government Conflicts of Interest Act, and compliance with all laws governing local government activities.

Chief Legal Officer for County of Powhatan, a public corporate body and political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia, with a population of approximately 28,000 and a total annual budget of approximately $68 million. Responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice and counsel to the Board of Supervisors, constitutional officers, local planning commission and other appointed bodies, and County staff. Provide legal services for all facets of county government, including United States and Virginia Constitutional law matters, community development, real estate, utilities and general services, environmental and permitting compliance, finance and budget matters, transportation and infrastructure issues, contract formulation, negotiation, and compliance, procurement, employment matters, social services, election law and redistricting, legislative matters, and litigation. Provide legal guidance to ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements, Virginia Freedom of Information Act, State and Local Government Conflicts of Interest Act, and all laws governing local government activities. Jointly responsible for County economic development activities.
