Key participant in an extensive product evaluation for an enterprise workflow solution. The product list included jFlow, InConcert, Documentum, i-Flow, Verve, IBM*s MQSeries Workflow and others.Designed, developed, and maintained the editorial system used by the New York State Department of State*s Department of Information Services to produce the Official Compilation of Codes, Rules, and Regulations of the State of New York. The system is a client/server based system initially using a VAX/VMS server with an OS2 client but was eventually upgraded to an Alpha/VMS server and a Windows NT client. The system has extensive C and DCL as well as OmniMark and Perl. The data was stored in SGML format using a proprietary DTD. The system also required extensive use and knowledge of DataLogic*s Pager composition engine.Maintained and upgraded a PowerBuilder client using an Oracle database, also used by the New York State Department of State*s Department of Information Services.Performed Y2K testing and repair for the above PowerBuilder client.Designed and developed a Java Applet based workflow client using the InConcert workflow engine. This system used a Java RMI client/server creating a thin web-based client.Obtained the requirements for a corporate workflow solution. Analyzed various workflow engines and proposed the best solution.Developed a corporate workflow solution using the Documentum product as a workflow engine. This solution follows an extended version of the OMG Workflow Management Facility CORBA API implemented using COM/DCOM.Designed and implemented a Configuration Management methodology for an existing Solaris based project that was implemented in numerous projects.Integral member of a committee tasked with the identification of best Configuration Management practices and creating a template methodology for the Configuration Management of a corporate wide business solution.
