Eric Armstrong's railroad career began solving problems as a Sales Engineer of R. W. Horst Company a manufacturers’ representative specializing in locomotives in 1981, locomotive parts, and rail and track materials. After Horst Company was acquired by General Electric (GE) in 2001, Eric stepped up as account executive for GE Transportation to lead the sales efforts of locomotive parts for the Union Pacific and OmniTRAX accounts. During his tenure with GE, Eric completed Six Sigma Black Belt certification in quality practices.After joining OmniTRAX in 2005 as Executive Vice President of Mechanical, Eric led the locomotive service operations in the BNSF Railway Gulf region. Eric was promoted to the Senior Vice President, Business Development in October 2007, and was responsible for OmniTRAX Business Development.As Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Miller Ingenuity, Eric’s leadership responsibilities included sales, marketing, pricing and product management. Putting his boots on his customer’s shop floor is Eric’s secret to discovering bothersome problems that customers accept as status quo.
