I have served in the United States Air Force for 22 years. During my 13 years as an enlisted member, I held various positions within the Aircraft Maintenance career field. I began as an avionics specialist and later received increased responsibility and training as a flying crew chief. I was then picked for a developmental special duty position providing formal education and training to the newest avionics technicians. This position cultivated my desire to lead and mentor and shortly after I was selected for commissioning as an officer.As a young military officer, I managed maintenance organizations (~100 personnel) to ensure safe, efficient, reliable maintenance in accordance with our regulations. Next, I served as the Chief of Training and Development for all aircraft maintenance leaders entering the United States Air Force. Currently, I am the maintenance Director of Operations for the first-ever F-35 Air Force Reserve unit advising commanders on all technical matters and guiding 278 maintenance professionals.I am a team player who thrives in high-stress environments. I enjoy analyzing data to uncover trends and providing creative corrective actions. I have managed large-scale projects, processes, and teams. I have always had an interest in tech and would love to explore that career field. I'm currently preparing for the COMPTIA Security + and PMP certifications. I plan to hold both by early summer 2025.
