In my current role, I design and build innovative tools for Back Office Operations to ensure the firm is prepared to handle exponential increases in trade volume, continued shortening of the settlement cycle, and other regulations on the horizon.

I serve as the Product Owner for an AGILE Project Management Team dedicated to Purchase & Sales related initiatives at TD Ameritrade. Utilizing my previous experience in the business, I identify opportunities for innovation and automation within the back office. I create a high level design of the infrastructure needed to automate processes and interpret the requirements to a dedicated technology team. I determine the priority of the teams workload and work in tandem with them to estimate, build, test, and release new or improved functionality to the firms operating systems. I work to break down barriers between the business and IT so that the true value of an initiative is understood on both sides.

Directly responsible for a group of 7-10 associates who service the firms Equity, Fixed Income and Options trade processing, reporting, clearance and reconciliation. • Act as one the firm’s main organizational contacts for the Options Clearing Corp (OCC), Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), Municipal Securities Rule Making Board (MSRB), Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine (TRACE), Real Time Trade Matching System (RTTM), FINRA Gateway, etc.• Possess a solid understanding of the Project Management Lifecycle and have the experience to communicate the impact of regulatory requirements and system enhancements to both IT, Compliance, and associates. Understand the criticality to revise or create Written Supervisory Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures which accurately reflect the full scope of specific regulatory requirements. • Frequently research, construct, and submit responses for regulatory inquiries on behalf of the firm. Often meet with regulators in person to clarify information relating to inquiries, exams, etc.

Directly responsible for a group of 6-9 associates who serviced the firms Equity and Fixed Income trade processing, reporting, clearance and reconciliation. • Ensured WSP’s and Books and Records remained up to date and accurate during historic periods of market volatility such as the Facebook IPO, Flash Crash, 2008 Recession, etc. This proved invaluable given the scrutiny from SRO’s in the aftermath of these events.• Participated in numerous successful initiatives such as constructing functionality for a Managed Account Portfolio, expanded the capacity for the amount of trades able to be executed on the firms Order Management System, designed fee pass through functionality for trade executions, trade confirmation redesign, established Computer to Computer (CTCI) technology for Fixed Income Reporting, etc. • Developed a network of industry contacts I consider Subject Matter Experts for specific regulatory subjects. We consult throughout the design and implementation of new regulatory initiatives.• Historically maintained a very low turnover of personnel. Nearly all of the 15+ associates who have moved on from P&S during my tenure, moved upward within the firm.

Executive Manager of Billing Collections (2002–2006)Directed performance of divisional collection portfolio. Devised and implemented collection strategies while directing workflow of 14 to 23 associates. Ensured all laws and guidelines were adhered to through associate coaching and performance evaluations. • Participated in successful relocation of four divisional credit operations to Midwest headquarters by creating collection guidelines, training and developing new staff, and transferring files. • Improved department associate quality service level by 17% through extensive, detail- oriented coaching sessions that educated associates on improved collection and customer service methods.• Reduced departmental turnover rate 25% by consistently developing and conducting creative incentive and positive recognition programs directly related to associate productivity.• Designed and implemented several original training manuals, which improved associates’ quality of work relating to reading and analyzing past due accounts.
