Mortgage Loan Processor
Current• I am the point of contact for current members who have a loan application in process. I use interpersonal and communication skills to convey information effectively to the member. I answer any member questions and address any concerns that arise throughout the loan process. I apply in-depth knowledge of mortgage products and internal policies to determine the viability of each mortgage loan application. I inform members of the policies for extension of credit in accordance with Northwest FCU’s guidelines. I explain, clarify, and communicate the benefits and terms of each product to the applicant. I communicate with members either by phone, email, or walk-in/scheduled appointments.• I complete accurate first and second mortgage loan applications either in person, over the telephone or via the on-line application portal, should the member require assistance. I obtain relevant financial information to determine if the borrower or borrowers will meet the minimum established criteria to qualify for the loan. Along with obtaining the necessary documentation to satisfy loan conditions, I order and analyze credit reports to verify loan eligibility.• I ensure the accuracy of disclosures and provide them to each member within specified regulatory compliance time frames. I examine and analyze supporting documentation and seek out missing or clarify questionable information. I ensure each loan is in compliance with all investor, regulatory and PMI guidelines. I notify members of loan decisions and potential issues that may arise in process. If a challenge is presented, I then communicate possible solutions in an attempt to reach a positive loan outcome. I explain loan denials precisely and clearly to members along with the mailing of Adverse Action letters.
